The buying factors
Arctis Nova 5X Scorecard
Editorial scores reflect listed features and buyer fit; they are not laboratory measurements or customer ratings.
Platform flexibility
A USB-C dongle supports Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch, Meta Quest, phones, and tablets, while Bluetooth adds another wireless connection option.
Battery and charging
The 60-hour battery figure and six hours of use from a 15-minute USB-C fast charge are useful for reducing time spent charging.
Game audio customization
More than 100 game presets through the companion app offer a broad set of tailored starting points for game audio.
Wireless switching
A button switches between 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth 5.3, with notification beeps for incoming calls while gaming.
Microphone design
The microphone retracts into the headset, which is convenient when it is not needed; the listing’s audio-quality language does not establish real-world call performance.
On-headset controls
Power, mute, volume, ChatMix, and wireless switching are accessible through controls on the headset itself.

Who Should Buy Arctis Nova 5X?
Good fit
Buy the Arctis Nova 5X if you want one wireless headset for Xbox and several other gaming or mobile platforms.
The dongle-based support and Bluetooth switching make it a practical fit for moving between a console session and phone audio.
It also fits players who value long intervals between charges and want game presets available through an app. The retractable microphone and ChatMix control add useful flexibility for multiplayer sessions and general listening.
Who should skip it
Skip it if active noise cancellation is a must-have, or if you want a headset whose microphone performance in windy outdoor settings is already established for your use.
Arctis Nova 5X: Platform Flexibility and Everyday Gaming
A headset built around switching
The combination of a USB-C dongle and Bluetooth gives this model a useful role in mixed-device setups.
Players can use the dongle with listed gaming platforms and switch to Bluetooth for a call or media without treating it as a single-console headset.
Preset variety versus personal tuning
More than 100 game audio presets give players many starting points in the companion app.
That is helpful for someone who wants game-specific options, though the number of presets alone cannot tell you which setting will suit your own preferences.
Battery convenience and charging habits
A 60-hour battery figure is a notable convenience for players who prefer charging less often.
The fast-charge option is useful when a session is approaching and the headset needs a short charging window, though the stated time is a maximum-use framing rather than a guarantee for every situation.
Controls and calls during play
Mute, volume, ChatMix, and Quick-Switch are available on the headset, and incoming-call beeps are designed to notify players while gaming.
The microphone retracts when not in use; frequent callers should still consider their environment and call needs when deciding whether the setup fits.

Is Arctis Nova 5X Worth It?
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X is worth considering for players who want Xbox support, broad platform flexibility, app-based game presets, and long battery life in one wireless headset.
The USB-C fast-charge option and on-headset controls add practical convenience for regular gaming.
It is a weaker fit if active noise cancellation is essential or if your buying decision depends on proven outdoor microphone performance.
For the right buyer, though, the mix of console support, Bluetooth switching, presets, and charging flexibility gives the Nova 5X a clear multi-device gaming role.
